A number of developments are underway on the estate. This page has links to St. Albans City Council's website, where you can review the plans and minutes from the Council's official minutes.
Home Farm Development - More news to be released shortly
The developer who has bought the Home Farm site is George Wimpey (ex Laing Homes). We will be keeping a close eye on the developments and attending the meeting with the planners on 24th January 2007. We will make sure that local issues are raised and have already raised the issue of road adoption which was such an issue when the original Highfield Park estate was built.
The public meeting will be held on Wednesday 24 January 2007 from 3pm - 7pm at Studio 1, Charters Health Club, Highfield Park Centre, Hill End Lane, St Albans.
The plans from this meeting will be on view, but unattended, at the Highfield Park Centre until Saturday 27 January 2007.
Keep checking back or more information as it becomes available.
Members of the committee met with George Wimpey and have explained the issues surrounding the development and the urgent need to make the site safe. Please implore your children to avoid the area as it is extremely dangerous and is not a play area. We have asked George Wimpey to secure the site and have raised issues including road adoption, access to housing and a safe place to cross on Highfield Park Lane.
